Desmurgy
On December 4, 2023, she held a conference on the topic: “Desmurgy. Types and means of transport immobilization” with group 2 AD b. After the teacher’s introductory speech, presenter Kamila Musaeva began leading the conference. I read out the history of Desmurgy, then the students consistently and competently told and showed the practical part on immobilization in various situations. A “ladder” splint was applied to the lower limb for fractures of the tibia and femur, and for fractures and dislocations of the upper limb. A bandage was applied to the upper limb, for immobilization after applying a plaster cast. How improvised bandages are applied to the lower and upper limbs. We demonstrated the application of “Dezo”, “Velpo” and “Spica” dressings for damage to the humerus, collarbone.
A video was also shown with students of 3 LD b, with emergency aid skills using modern immobilizing splints, which are available at our ambulance station. Students demonstrated the application of the Elansky splint for immobilization of the back and hip joint, as well as the Shants collar for injuries to the cervical vertebrae. Pneumatic splints have been demonstrated for injuries of the shoulder and forearm, hip and lower leg. A vacuum stretcher for carrying victims was demonstrated.
As a result of undergoing a program of emergency care for injuries, in order to prevent the development of traumatic shock, namely, examination, assess the situation, provide anesthesia and create immobility of the injured limb.
