“Anti-Corruption Efforts in the Kyrgyz Republic: Amendments and Additions to Legislation”
Anti-Corruption Awareness Meeting Held at Tokmok Medical College An educational event titled “Anti-Corruption Efforts in the Kyrgyz Republic: Amendments and Additions to Legislation” was held at Tokmok Medical College. The purpose of the event was to increase students’ legal awareness and expand their understanding of corruption prevention. Assistant Prosecutor of Tokmok City U.A. Aliyev was invited to the meeting. He provided detailed information about recent amendments to anti-corruption legislation, the liability measures stipulated in the Criminal Code, and the importance of strengthening legal culture among young people. Students were shown video presentations and educational videos. The main directions of the State Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025–2030 were also introduced. Explanations were given on key principles such as transparency, digitalization, and public oversight. During the event, students actively asked questions and shared their views on the importance of lawfulness, professional ethics, and civic responsibility. The event was attended by 270 first- and second-year students and 24 teachers. The college administration plans to continue anti-corruption awareness activities by strengthening thematic lessons and informational campaigns.
